He also worked for King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) as Renewable Energy Researcher, under the Research, Development, and Innovation Division. He participated in developing the infrastructure of the national program including national strategy, value chain, local content, R&D, technology development and human capacity building. On the other hand, he was in charge of first of kind intuitive in the kingdom, the National Renewable Energy Atlas whsih support of achievement of a sustainable energy mix. In 2015, he joined Taqnia Energy (TE) as a first employee after the CEO as Business Development Manager, his role was leading the development of business unit in TE, hold the responsibility originating and managing the evaluation and execution of partnership, projects and portfolio investment opportunities and acquisitions related to solar business in order to increase the competitive advantage for TE. The big move when he was leading the development of the first solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project in the country, Layla solar plant (50 MW) with the lowest worldwide tariff at the time. Mid of 2017, the board of directors assigned him to be Acting CEO for Taqnia Energy. Wail received his Master’s degree in Solid State and Microsystem from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia in 2010 and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University (KAU).
